Japanese New Year's Food "Osechi"
A really fun peak on how to make some delicious Osechi to celebrate the New Year with all the luck and great omens -- we can! Finding out more about the culture while appreciating how to make some incredible Japanese dish is definitely amazing!

Therefore all the osechi dishes were simmered or marinated, cooked in ways that made them last.
Before I start showing you the fabulous osechi dishes, I want to take this opportunity to talk about a word we have in Japan called engi.
Technically there are five cycles thorough the year but because New Year is the biggest celebration only New Year’s food is now referred as osechi.
Here’s my plate of osechi food that I am going to devour.

- noun. The act or process or growing increase, development, gradual increase
- Therefore
- adverb. In consequence of that, as a result of
- Fabulous
- adjective. Almost impossible to believe; incredible
- Technically
- adverb. Means basically. If some thing is complicated, or a smudge complex, it can relate back to the first bit.
- Devour
- verb. To swallow it up greedily or voraciously
