Highlights

"We capture a wedding ceremony. We went to Kamakura to get some more pictures taken. This time I got to wear a different type of wedding kimono called the iro-chikagi."
"With the wonderful team of stylists and photographers, we were on our way to get some great shots in Kamakura."
"The iro-chikagi is a colorful wedding Kimono that traditionally the bride changed into from the white shiromuku is actually senti-symbolic death or more softly put the bride's departure from her family. The iro-chikagi symbolizes the bride's rebirth into the groom's bloodlines. Back in the day, the iro-chikagi was either red or black base. Red to symbolize blood or black to symbolize the bride's commitment to never turning any other color. But nowadays, it's less symbolic and much more about fashion. Or maybe my rainbow colored iro-chikagi symbolizes just how colorful my life is going to be."
"Kamakura was the perfect spot for taking our Kimono photos. It's only about an hour away from Tokyo but has so much nature, culture and tradition."
"After taking a number of scenic photos in my iro-chikagi we had a bit of fun and tried on a new retro kimono look."
"The hair, the shoes, the pop patterns, the contemporary colr combinations. These you'll never see in a traditional Kimono look."
"We had so much fun walking down Komatsidori, looking at the cute souvenir shops, eating crepe and getting our pictures taken."
